Charlie's Pit Bar-B-Que

There is some interesting architecture around Colorado Springs. It sometimes reminds me of a 50's version of a small western town. I've been talking about trying to take some photos of it and this is my first warm up session. Hopefully one of many more to come.

Cripple Creek Ice Festival

Meghan and I went to the Cripple Creek Ice Festival this past weekend. We had been wanting to explore the city. The drive through the mountains was really pretty. Its a cute little town. Unfortunately everything seems to be a casino which makes me wonder what else is going on there. The ice (sculpture) festival was small but impressive. The sculptors had made some some amazing pieces and we got to watch a few in action.

Peter

My friend Peter visited this past weekend. We had a blast running going to Satyagraha at the Metropolitan Opera and running around town doing more pedestrian things.

I took a bunch of photos of him and choose to share this one because it shows him laughing and with his guard down. I had just said something silly and ridiculous that cracked him up.

Peter is they same guy in Russ T Robot and Peter

The Management Company

Group Shot 08.jpg

A while back I did some photos for The Management Theater Company. This is the group shot they chose. Group shots are tough because invariably one person is looking the wrong way or has their eyes closed.

I have some individual shots that I'll post soon.

My friend Thomas was kind enough to volunteer for my portrait project. Thanks Thomas. This is the first image in that project. What do you think? What to help me by posing?

Death Valley

I went to Las Vegas once, there's a funny story about that, and spent one day driving to Death Valley. It was amazing. Really friggin hot. So hot, sweat kept pouring off my forehead and into my eyes so I could barely see through the viewfinder to take any photos.
